GLAFJNEHS qualifies to NSPC, bags multiple awards in RSPC 2019

Lourence Compuesto manages to prove his worth to be a part of the CALABARZON Team in Radio Broadcasting English. In addition, Gentri Radio broadcasters secure 4th place overall.

Gayme Almario, Dev Comm Specialist in TV Scriptwriting and Broadcasting English seizes 5th place in Development Communication.

Also, Samantha Villanueva captures 7th place in Photo Journalism Filipino.

SF Teachers present Research on CBER

GLAFJENHS OIC and teachers present research paper on the 2019 Conference of Basic Education Researchers (CBER)

 

OIC Ms. Arlene M. Hernandez with English teacher Ms. Katherine Q. Medrano shared their studies on the Impact of Content-Based Language Instruction (CBLI) in Second Language Learning set up. Thus, seeing the approach more effective on the teaching-learning process of Second Language learners.

 

Moreover, Mr. Mar T. Sta. Maria discussed his paper on i-Bridge, aiming to impart his best practices in teaching Mathematics subject.

GLAFJENHS pilots Sign Language Training for Inclusive Education

Gentri School Heads and GLAFJENHS teachers continuously equip themselves in Basic Sign Language.

​

The program is utilized to widen the room for understanding exceptional students.

​

 As stated in the Magna Carta for Persons with Disability(PWDs) and Executive Order No.417 which mandates the creation of promotional programs to develop the positive image of PWDs, including the Deaf sector.

 

In response to DepEd Order 72 s.2009, which stipulates Inclusive Education as a strategy for increasing participation rate of children, Governor Luis A Ferrer Jr. East National High School hosted the Sign Language Training for School Heads and its’ Grade 7 Teachers which aims to equip them with skills and competency on basic Sign Language and to build their capabilities on the Inclusion of Learners with difficulty in hearing/deaf learners in regular education.

GLAFJENHS launches its Official Website

The school manages to create another avenue for its students, parents and school community to see what the Institution can offer to its clientele. Moreover, it adds up to the ethical standards of DepEd with its transparency on how the school operates.

The website mirrors the culture of teachers and students in the teaching-learning set-up in GLAFJENHS.

Division office personnel receives the amount of 35,500.00 pesos as voluntary donation of GLAFJENHS teachers headed by Ms. Arlene M. Hernandez, Officer-in-Charge. This is to support the FundCOVIDAloy Project of the Division of General Trias City that aims to support the frontliners of city health units and most affected teachers.

4th Leadership Training Program is a 2-day seminar under the banner project of Supreme Student Government Project I-LEAD with the theme"Redirecting Minds and Exploring Stronger Frontier in Leadership through Empowerment among 21st Century Young Leaders" held at Gov Luis A Ferrer Jr East National High School.The seminar aims to capacitate young leaders to in the field of leadership.This event was graced by BM Kerby Salazar, Ma'am Eliza Rodolfo, Ma'am Melany Arcangel and the school Principal Dr. Prudencio Animas.

Work from home of teachers from the school started yesterday. Teacher assures that they accomplish the grading sheets of their studes. They start with their online discussion from 8am to 5pm. This is one avenue of the school to make sure that they are still serving their learners.

 GLAFJENHS holds Career Orientation for Parents and Students.

Students in GLAFJENHS' afternoon shift continue the fun-filled and informative career orientation program. Ms. Josephine Perdito explained the K-12 Senior High School Curriculum. Teachers Ms. Maureen Angat, Ms. Leah Francisco, Ms. Leana Marie Pineda and Ms. Marshelly Lumagui addressed the students. The First Uniting Christian School Principal Mr. Joseph Peter Gacho, Jr. provided insights on deciding on a career, and school guidance teacher Mr. Armando Urbiztondo clarified the different Senior High School Tracks.

Students had fun as they projected their dream careers with their outfits and enjoyed watching special numbers from Kultura and Supremos.

Parents also had their orientation with Mr. Arman as the school continues to help them guide and support their children in their future careers.
